Job Description
Programme Manager - PMO | Construction Consultancy for Corporate Clients | London
Ready to step up from project management into programme leadership?
Maybe you're a Project Manager who's spent years onsite or in design meetings and now wants to take a broader, strategic view. Or perhaps you've already gained PMO experience and want to build on it in a more structured consultancy environment.
My client - a leading London-based construction consultancy - is looking for a Programme Manager to join their specialist PMO team, helping major corporate clients navigate and deliver ambitious property programmes.
Why this role?
You'll move away from day-to-day site delivery and into a role focused on programme structure, governance, and strategic oversight-while still drawing on your hands-on project delivery experience. You'll be the link between client leadership and project teams, ensuring that programmes run smoothly across multiple workstreams.
What you'll be doing:
- Embedding and managing PMO structures across high-value, multi-site corporate property programmes
- Providing programme-level oversight, including governance, reporting, and risk management
- Acting as a trusted advisor to client teams-bringing strategic focus and operational clarity
- Overseeing project managers, consultants, and delivery partners to keep programmes aligned and on track
- Leading programme meetings, stakeholder reporting, and key decision-making processes
Who we're looking for:
- A project or programme professional from a consultancy or client-side background
- You may be a Project Manager ready to step up, or already in a PMO/Programme role with a strong delivery background
- Experienced in workplace, commercial real estate, or corporate property environments
- Organised, articulate, and calm under pressure-able to bring structure to fast-moving programmes
- APM, MSP, or PRINCE2 accreditation is a plus, but not essential
What's on offer:
A forward-thinking consultancy environment, complex and rewarding programmes, and a supportive leadership team invested in your growth. Competitive salary + benefits.
