Caddick lands Siemens service centre expansion

Caddick is delivering a £20m contract to build Siemens Mobility’s new bogie assembly and service centre in Goole.

Forming part of Siemens Mobility’s Goole Rail Village, the new facility will increase capacity for Siemens Mobility’s bogie and wheelset overhaul work.

Caddick is building 13,500 sq m industrial unit on 1.5 hectares of cleared land alongside the Goole train manufacturing facility. Building work will include associated car parking and infrastructure.

Set for completion in spring 2026, the bogie service centre will be used for the assembly and refurbishment of rail components, including new build bogies and wheelsets to supply rail networks around the world.

The contract adds to Caddick’s work in the region’s industrial sector, which includes Yara International’s new manufacturing plant at Ozone Business Park in Howden.

Caddick is also building Schneider Electrical’s new 16,500 sq m manufacturing plant in Scarborough, where the energy management specialist is investing £42m to ride the cleaner energy wave.
