Kent contractor collapses

2 Nov 15 A Kent construction company that had been trading since the 1840s has gone out of business.

Epps Construction, based in Ashford, filed for administration on Friday 23rd October after running out of money.

A report in The quotes managing director Richard Epps saying: “I have sought advice, and I can report, with great regret and sadness, that the advice given was to cease trading.â€‌

Close to 50 people have lost their jobs as a result.

Recent Epps projects include the Wing Visitor Centre in Capel-le-Ferne, Kent, for the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, which opened earlier this year. The building is designed to imitate the wing profile of a Spitfire aeroplane.
