UKDN Waterflow has worked on Network Rail maintenance units as a tier one operator for more than 15 years but will now be eligible to manage larger investment projects.
Lanes Group commercial director (rail) Matthew Todd said: "It represents a fantastic opportunity for the Lanes family, strengthening our position with Network Rail, both through UKDN Waterflow (LG) and across the Lanes Group.
"The investment made in obtaining a PCL is wholeheartedly endorsed by the group management team as the way forward and further bolsters an already formidable rail offering."
Eamonn Maloney, Lanes Group Network Rail manager, said: "We are now able to deliver total solutions, from surveying, scoping, planning and pricing, to implementation and hand over, whatever size the project.â€
The company’s rail division has also moved from Langley Business Park into new purpose-built premises on Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire.
