Nottingham-based civil engineering firm Thomas Bow has launched a new mobile fuelling service for off-highway machinery in the region.
Thomas Bow has invested 拢60,000 in a custom-built a 900-litre capacity, Isuzu fuel truck. The company鈥檚 Fuel on the Go service is aimed at builders, landscape and agricultural contractors, civil engineering firms and plant hire businesses.
The pay-as-you-go service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, predominantly servicing the East Midlands.
鈥淐onstruction and plant hire firms will typically either transport immobile plant to refuel, utilise bowsers or store Jerry cans for use in an emergency,鈥 said Thomas Bow commercial director Andrew Jackaman. 鈥淭hese methods are inefficient, wasting valuable resources, and carry security risks storing white diesel on sites.鈥
He added: 鈥淥ur truck is four-wheel drive, making construction sites accessible even in poor conditions, and it comes equipped with spill trays and the necessary kit to protect the environment. With our experience of the construction and civil engineering sectors, we are perfectly placed to understand industry demands and how to best offer an efficient mobile fuel service which keeps the wheels turning 24 hours a day, seven days a week.鈥
