The homes will be built on a 2.23-acre site, including a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties. The development forms part of wider efforts to increase the supply of affordable housing across Surrey and the South East.
MTVH is a not-for-profit charity managing 57,000 homes for more than 120,000 residents. It aims to build 1,000 new homes annually, partnering with house builders.
Graham Chivers, CEO of Chartway Partnerships Group, said, "Breaking ground on this development is an important milestone and the start of an exciting new partnership with MTVH.
"Partnership working is central to our approach and this project demonstrates what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared ambition to tackle housing need and deliver meaningful social value."
Andrew Stubley, director of construction at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing said, "There is significant demand for affordable housing across the region and developments such as this are vital in helping people access high-quality homes in the communities where they want to live and work.
"This development comes at an exciting time for MTVH, following our recent end-of-year results which highlighted a record year for new home delivery, demonstrating our continued commitment to increasing the supply of affordable housing and creating thriving communities."
