Digga were the pioneers of Pendulum drilling in Australia, our range of products grew steadily as the company focused on its customer’s needs, adding chain driven auger drive units in 1985. The desire for a more compact, low maintenance auger drive led to the development of planetary driven pendulum mounted augers drives in 1987.

Frustrated with inconsistent supply & quality from imported gearbox components, the company invested in gearcutting technology in 1987 & today are the largest Australian gearbox manufacturer for the construction & earthmoving industry. Designing & producing gearboxes up to 500,000Nm for drilling & screw anchoring, Digga produce gearboxes for a full range of attachments & speciality applications including mining & waste industries.

With rapid growth & expansion, Digga opened Manufacturing and distribution additional facilities Sydney, New South Wales in 1989 and Melbourne, Victoria in 1992 to support an ever growing range of products and clientele.

In 1996 Digga started exporting to Europe & the usa, establishing a master distributor in the United Kingdom in 1998, the branch became company owned in 2004. Digga currently exports to over 50 countries, distributing product through 400 quality dealers worldwide.

The companies new State of the art 12,500sqm facility in Brisbane, Qld opened in late the facility features 15 CNC multi-axis machines, 15 gear cutting and spindling machines, automatic steel cutting machines, 2 High Definition Plasma cutters, 350 tonne 11axis high precision brake press, 6 robotic cells and state of the art fabrication facilities fitted with 26 Fronius high speed pulse welders, providing the latest in high production welding technology.

A new UK facility has opened in 2014 in Hungerford, Berkshire as demand for Digga’s range of Screw Piling and foundation drives grows.

Digga is a multiple award winning company having won the prestigious British Export Excellence Award in 2009, international design awards, amongst countless domestic and international design awards.
