Sandberg is an independent private professional partnership founded in 1860 providing consultancy, quality management, testing and inspecting services on construction industry materials, practice and processes throughout the world.

National and international clients include consulting engineers, architects, surveyors, civil engineering and building contractors, property developers and managers, lawyers, building materials manufacturers and suppliers and government and public authorities.

On 1 May 2003, Sandberg LLP was formed (Registered Number OC304229). On this date the entire current partnership's practice was transferred to the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) by legal transfer. The business conducted by Sandberg LLP from this date is essentially the same as that previously owned by the partners, and Sandberg LLP is owned by those who were previously the equity partners in the original partnership.

Sandberg LLP places a high value on client confidentiality, following a code of conduct in accordance with the Association of Consulting Engineers of which the firm is a member. It is also one of the founder members of the Offshore Certification Bureau (now OCB-Germanischer Lloyd Ltd) - the only consulting engineers group to have the approval of the British Governments Department of Energy for the certification of North Sea Oil structures. Sandberg is also a corporate member of the Institute of Expert Witnesses.
