Change at the top for Alumasc

1 hour Building materials producer Alumasc has named Pamela Bingham as its next chief executive.

Pamela Bingham will take over as chief executive of Alumasc Group on 31st March 2026 on the retirement of current chief executive Paul Hooper after 25 years with the company.

Bingham will join Alumasc from seals and bearings manufacturer Eriks UK & Ireland at the beginning of March as CEO-designate.

Before Eriks, she was chief executive of Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation, the largest division of the Glen Dimplex Group.  Prior to that Bingham held managing director positions at CRH, Weir Group and Rotork.

Alumasc chair Vijay Thakrar said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Pamela as the new CEO of the group. She brings extensive commercial experience as well as a record of value creation through organic and inorganic growth, employee engagement, digital transformation and customer loyalty, all of which will be helpful in leading Alumasc during its next stage of growth.

“After 25 years with the business, we will be sad to see Paul Hooper leave us and are grateful for the significant contribution he made over that time. He leaves a strong and agile group, well positioned to capitalise on the opportunities in its markets.â€

Pamela Bingham said of Alumasc: “It is a unique company that positively contributes to the decarbonisation of the building and construction sector with its sustainable building products and innovative products and solutions.â€

She added: “I look forward to working with Vijay, the board, Alumasc’s management team and our people to build upon Alumasc’s successful growth in recent years.â€
