Investor-developer Bentry Capital has entrusted the construction of its Angel Village development in Islington to its in-house construction arm, Mellior Group.
The 拢21m project is converting former offices into 130 residential apartments homes, with 88 delivered in the first phase and the first occupants expected to move in next year 2027.
Mellior began the office strip out on site in September 2025, with an 18-month programme; the fit out began in January 2026, with a show apartment to be delivered this spring.
Liverpool-based Mellior has 10 of its own staff on the job and 40 operatives on site daily; up to 120 are expected during peak activity. Works to date include the removal of the original curtain walling to add green wall facades, removal of the existing staircase and minor structural alterations.
Interior design architects Ademchic have worked with the project architect Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson to design the scheme to repurpose the existing architecture into a mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The scheme will provide underground parking, landscaped gardens and onsite concierge.
Angel Village is on a 1.7-acre site off City Road in Islington, with the new homes tucked away behind elegant arches.
