Job Description
Single Status Rotation Job with flights, medical, accommodation & transportation
Planning Manager Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning:
o Develop detailed project plans and schedules using software such as Primavera P6.
o Define project scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
o Identify critical paths, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks in the project lifecycle.
o Lead forensic planning efforts focused on resolving project disputes by conducting a thorough analysis of the project's timeline, documentation, and communications.
o Identifying the root causes of disputes, such as delays or contract breaches, and
compile evidence that can support claims or legal proceedings.
2. Scheduling:
o Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with contract
requirements.
o Adjust schedules based on progress updates, delays, or changes in project scope.
3. Monitoring and Reporting:
o Track project progress against the baseline plan and identify deviations.
o Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines!
o Generate progress reports, including Gantt charts, S-curves,…
o Prepare reports and presentations on planning activities and outcomes.
4. Risk Management:
o Propose mitigation strategies and recovery plans to minimize risks.
5. Coordination:
o Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of the plan.
o Communicate project plans, goals, and changes effectively to all stakeholders.
o Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project activities.
6. Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of schedules, progress updates, and change orders.
o Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
7. Tools and Software:
o Proficiently use planning tools like Primavera P6 and other project management
software.
o Utilize spreadsheets and dashboards for analysis and visualization of project data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Technical Skills:
o Expertise in project scheduling software like Primavera P6.
o Strong understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies.
2. Soft Skills:
o Proven managerial experience in planning and scheduling within the oil & gas
industry.
o Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with diverse
teams.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
3. Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or relevant field).
o A PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Project Scheduling Professional) certification is a plus.
4. Experience:
o 15+ years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in the construction, engineering, or energy sector.
o Hands-on experience with Oil and gas projects is desirable.
