Construction Manager- Civil Project

Job Description

We are hiring for a Construction Manager for a Civil project in Riyadh. The job is on the contractor side.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinates allocated site activity with responsibility for execution in compliance with all contractual requirements, ensuring that resource usage is optimized to achieve, or exceed projected profit margins.
• Review contract/tendering documentation, to ensure a thorough understanding of the contract requirements, participating in the preliminary planning and budgeting stages as necessary.
• Participate in the review of the content of client /partner construction drawings and
procedures, prior to issue, in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost effective and timely manner.
• Participate with relevant site staff, in the development and establishment of the construction schedule together with the mechanisms for monitoring subsequent progress against that schedule. Ensure that corrective action is agreed and implemented at the appropriate level where variations from plans occur.
• Provide adequate resource and expertise on site to ensure the effective supervision, monitoring and control of the work being undertaken to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards e.g. contract documents, specifications, method statements, company policy and procedures.
• Ensure that Company policy and procedures i.e. iso 9000, local labour laws and safety procedures are consistently implemented across the project, taking effective remedial action where noncompliance is identified.
• Review and assess the integrity, frequency, and value of site reporting in respective area, establishing revised systems where necessary to ensure that project management have the necessary up to date information to effectively manage the project to meet its objectives, providing any required reporting to moa.
• Represent Company's interests with suppliers, partners and third-party contractors etc., negotiating terms and conditions where necessary, ensuring that Company's interest are both optimized and protected.
• Monitor performance of suppliers and sub-contractors to determine compliance with
contractual obligations. Resolve issues arising from disputes or sub-standard performance.

Education:
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), in Civil Engineering.

Skills:
• Minimum 18 years experience
• Previous experience in building large commercial buildings.
• Currently available in Saudi Arabia with transferrable iqama
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively
communicate.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
